Black Frost Boss Setup
Here is a breakdown of the battle preparation against the boss:
Carry HP and MP Recovery Items
Before engaging the boss, bring HP and MP recovery items in case your party runs out of HP and MP during battle.
Assign Nahobino Light Skills
Make sure to import Light skills that can exploit the weakness of the boss. In addition, complement your offense with support and passive skills that can boost your damage. Recovery skills are optional if your active party members do not have these skills. This is to sustain the party during battle.
Attach Affinities to Nahobino to nullify Ice and Dark Skills
In the same manner, implant affinities to Nahobino in order to Reflect/Absorb/Void/Resist Ice and Dark skills. If you have a demon essence that can also boost the damage of Light skills and others, it will be an advantage.
Pick Ally Demons that can counter Ice and Dark Skills
In addition, bring party members can innately Reflect/Absorb/Void/Resist Ice and Dark skills. Otherwise, implant affinities to cover up to the offensive skills of the boss. Give the entire party resistance to Ice and Dark if you can.
Implant Light Skills to Demon Allies
Assign Light skills to your active party members. Especially, if they don’t innately have them or they are still low level.
Black Frost Boss Strategies
Here is a breakdown of the battle strategies against the boss:
Pass Regular Turn to Support demons
If you start the battle with Nahobino and don’t have access to debuff/buff Support skills, make use of the Press Turn System and pass your turn to demon allies that can use debuff Support skills.
Land Debuffs
Land debuffs on the boss while leaving some MP for recovery. Debuffs can be in the form of attack power decrease (Tarunda/Matarunda), defense power decrease (Rakunda/Marakunda), and hit/evasion power decrease (Sukunda/Masukunda). These debuffs can be accessed by Nahobino and any demons in your party.
Prioritize on landing Sukunda/Masukunda first. Followed by Rakunda/Marakunda and Tarunda/Matarunda.
Cast Buffs
Cast buffs on your party members as well. Buffs can be in the form of attack power increase (Tarukaja/Matarukaja), defense power increase (Rakukaja/Marakukaja), and hit/evasion power increase (Sukukaja/Masukukaja). These buffs can be accessed by Nahobino and any demons in your party.
Prioritize on landing Sukukaja/Masukukaja first. Followed by Tarukaja/Matarukaja and Rakukaja/Marakukaja. You may also use Charge/Power Stremma and Concentrate/Mind Stremma buffs to boost your damage even further if available.
Since the boss also has a Matarunda skill, it may override your buff. However, it will consume a press turn from his side if you keep on casting Tarukaja/Matarukaja during your party’s turn.
Use Light Skills
Black Frost is weak in Light skills which Nahobino and his ally demons can capitalize on. The damage will be higher if the party is buffed with Tarukaja/Matarukaja and Concentrate/Mind Stremma. You can also use Magatsuhi skills to increase the damage potential.
Unleash Magatsuhi Skills
While engaging Black Frost, your party may build your Magatsuhi gauge. When it’s available, unleash the Magatsuhi skill to set your next damaging blows against the boss.
