All Demon Skill Types and Affinities in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance (SMT5V)
Apart from using normal attacks, Nahobino can also unleash skills to win over his opponents in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance (SMT5V). Skills include Physical Skills, Elemental Skills, Recovery Skills, Defense Skills, Support Skills, Passive Skills, and other skill types which are a staple to all Shin Megami Tensei and Persona games.
The new skills introduced to SMT V are Magatsuhi and Miracle skills.
Sources of Skills
Skills are accessed by Nahobino through different means. This includes the Magatsuhi, Miracles, Demon Allies, and Damage Items.
Magatsuhi
Magatsuhi are unique skills introduced in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. They are powerful versions of skills from other skill types that do not require MP in order to use. In addition, these skills do not take a slot from Nahobino’s regular 8 skill slots and multiple Magatsuhi can be learned at once. Furthermore, a Magatsuhi skill does not consume a Turn Icon and will not pass the turn to the next ally. Basically, the user will have two consecutive actions instead.
However, in order to be used, a Magatsuhi skill requires a Magtsuhi Gauge to be filled up first. In order for the gauge to accumulate and get fully charged, the player and his demon allies should always take action during a battle.
Some Magatsuhi skills are unique to a demon race. The Protagonist also can use his demon allies’ Magatsuhi skills during battle.

Miracles
Miracles are unique passive skills separated from regular passive skills. Miracle skills work similarly to the Apps mechanic of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey and Shin Megami Tensei IV and IV: Apocalypse.
In order to acquire Miracles, acquire certain amounts of Glory and exchange them to Sophia at the World of Shadows. Acquire Glory by examining Abscesses and clearing the powerful enemies.

Demon Allies
The third source of skills for Nahobino is through his demon allies in the game. Each Demon has an affinity for certain attributes and skills. For example, Daemon has skills related to Physica, Fire, Dark, and Support skills. Demon allies also have access to their own Magatsuhi Skills.

Types of Skills
Here is a breakdown of skill types in the game. If you have played previous Shin Megami Tensei and Persona games before, some skill types will be familiar:

Physical Skills
Physical skills deal physical damage to enemies at the cost of the user’s own MP this time. Many of the most damaging skills belong to this category. Enemies inflicted with debuffs and status ailments will also take increased damage from Physical skills. There are also Physical skills that also inflict Pierce damage and Poison status as a bonus effect. With SMT V, some physical skills from the Persona series were adopted and added to the game.
SMT V: Vengeance All Physical Skills
Magic or Elemental Skills
Magic or Elemental skills are divided into sub-categories which are Fire, Ice, Electricity, Force (or Wind), Light, Dark, and Almighty. These skills mainly deal damage to a specific type of “element” (with the exception of Almighty which is described as being a special “neutral” attribute).
Certain sub-categories also have unique mechanics, such as being able to inflict various status conditions and have effective synergies with other types of magic skills or physical skills.

Instant Death Skills
Instant Death skills are also magic or elemental skills. They include Light and Dark, which specialize in eliminating enemies quickly by chance.

Ailment Skills
Ailment skills are used to inflict a variety of status and mental effects on enemies, temporarily giving you an advantage in combat. In SMT V, they are now under one category and no longer grouped into separated categories (Curse, Nerve, and Mind in SMT 3: Nocturne). In addition, a new ailment is introduced called Illusion.

Healing and Recovery Skills
Recovery skills focus on restoring HP and MP, as well as curing allies of status conditions. Again, some skills familiar to the Persona series were integrated into the game.

Support Skills
Support skills range from enhancing the performance of allies to weakening enemies in battle. These skills are extremely helpful when dealing with powerful enemies, especially bosses, to make encounters more manageable. The -kaja buffs and -nda debuffs from the Persona series were added to SMT V.

Passive Skills
Passive skills are abilities that are always in effect when engaging enemies. They range from increasing the power of certain physical and magic skills, granting enhanced evasion to allowing allies to survive fatal attacks once during the battle.

Magatsuhi Skills
Similar to Nahobino, other demons can also access Magatsuhi skills. In terms of mechanics, they function similarly on how it works with Nahobino. There are four skill types such as Supremacy, Gospel, Awakening, and Universe.
