Choose not to take the girl’s hand at the start of the game.
Be sure to refuse taking the girl’s hand when starting the game to trigger the Canon of Creation route for your playthrough. Otherwise, you will begin the game on the Canon of Vengeance route, making it impossible to get the True Neutral ending.

Steps to Unlock Satan Secret Boss Fight
Below are the steps to unlock the Satan secret boss fight on your first playthrough.
| 1 | Start the game and refuse to take the girl’s hand to. This puts you into the Canon of Creation story routes. |

| 2 | Proceed through the main story while clearing all major demon questlines (Amanozako, Fionn mac Cumhaill, Khonsu, and Shiva) before fighting Metatron in the game’s final area. Be sure to spare Khonsu as well to get the True Neutral ending when you choose to “create a world for humanity alone”. |
| 3 | After beating the game, start a new playthrough and choose to take the girl’s hand. This puts you into the Canon of Vengeance story routes. |
| 4 | Reach the Empyrean during the main story and head to Shinjuku. |
| 5 | Clear The Serpent King subquest. |
| 6 | After clearing the subquest, The Great Adversary subquest will be unlocked. This allows you to fight the secret boss Satan in the same area where you cleared The Serpent King subquest. |

Unlocks Godborn difficulty.
Beating Satan during the subquest The Great Adversary unlocks Godborn difficulty mode. This is essentially the game’s version of Ultra Hard mode with features that make it more challenging to complete.
