Final Fantasy 7 (FFVII) - Date Event

Interest Points

Aerith, Tifa, Yuna, and Barret start the game with a hidden value. For the sake of simplicity, we will call this Interest Points. Depending on actions taken throughout the game and dialogue decisions made, these points either rise or fall. In the second story related visit to the Gold Saucer, Cloud will go on a date with the character with the most Interest Points.

Interest Points by Character

Aerith

Aerith naturally starts with a high number of Interest Points, so players looking to go on the date with her should play the game normally without worrying too much about manipulating Interest Points.

Tifa

With the second highest number of starting interest Points, Tifa can easily overtake Aerith if favored in conversations and events. As a special trick, when in a cell on the 67th floor of the Shinra building, Cloud can talk with Tifa and gain more Interest Points an unlimited number of times.

Yuffie

As Yuffie starts with a relatively low amount of Interest Points, you will not only have to raise hers but lower those of Aerith and Tifa. This is particularly important for Aerith, who starts with the highest number of Interest Points.

Barret

Barret starts the game with 0 Interest Points. As with Yuffie, players will have to lower all other character’s Interest Points while raising Barret’s if you hope to date the burly AVALANCHE member.
