To obtain the special Traveler’s Mount Gear, you have to summon the set which requires the Link Rider Amiibo. Amidst the stash of collectible materials, are two chests at the center. 1. The Akkala region is in no way locked. I don’t understand why anyone would be led to believe that From The Ground Up is necessary to visit Kilton, just because they take place in the same region. However, there is a prerequisite for the monster horse gear, which is completing at least one Divine Beast quest, possibly two or three; Kilton won’t sell it at all otherwise.

  2. You can get to Akkala before from the ground up. You just have to talk to Kilton at skull lake, visit him at any town after freeing two divine beasts, spend about 1000 mon, and viola. Monster horse gear, no ground up required.

  3. My rpyal white horse died after i finished the quest and I found it wild at Safula Hill. I took it to a stable and registered it. How do i re equip the gear???

    • In some stables (like the Outskirts stable) there will be a lady tending to the horses in some stalls. Talk to her, and you can change saddles and bridles on your horse, but only if you have a max bond with it.

  4. Hey guys! All of the mini games require you to do twice. So dont give up just yet! Here’s a tip for the mounted archery camp. Get a savage Lynel bow or a great eagle bow (they shoot 3 arrows) it will be much easier! Trust me!

    • Also there are better horses than epona that I recommend you get. You find then where you find the biggest horse in the game. It’s near the mounted archery camp but in the desert! I got my horse 4-4-5 and a 2-5-3! I can’t tell you the location of the big giant horse (ganon’s) I forgot what the place is called. I suggest you look it up!

    • I would actually recommend an ancient bow from the Akkala ancient tech lab. They have almost no drop and, if you can hold your bow steady, make hitting all the targets a joke, for the soldiers saddle at least. Or I find it easier.

    • went through like 10 5 shot lynel bows and like 150 arrows on the archery one and on the one where you have to jump over the things, 4 words, pain, suffering, agony and most importantly, pain

    • If some are still wondering, that’s at least 20 balloons for the bridle and 23 for the saddle so you’re only allowed to miss 2

    • Get all of them, scrub. Easiest when in handheld mode, and make sure to use a bomb arrow on at least the last five. Hit em all at once that way.
