Mission 10 – Awaken Walkthrough Strategy
Dante is now playable
This is the first mission where the player can play as Dante. He has a different fighting style and arsenal compared to Nero, so don’t rush to finish this mission and take your time to learn his playstyle.

5) Battle with Red and Green Empusas
6) Proceed further down the Qliphoot Root path
8) Battle with Hell Cainas, Pyro Bat, and Hell Anternoras
9) Proceed to the Qliphoot Root tunnel. Approach “Customize” hourglass statue
10) Battle with “Barbed Discord” Chaos for the first time
11) Jump through Qliphoot root static platforms
12) Battle with Death Scissors
14) Battle with Empusa Queen, Raptor Boi, Hell Cainas, and Hell Anternoras
15) Proceed even further down the Qliphoot Root tunnel

29) Boss battle with Hiruzen and his Crystal Shield
Similar to Mission 8‘s boss battle with Hiruzen, Dante needs to keep damaging Urizen’s Shield Crystal until it breaks. Use Dante’s Ebony and Ivory to damage the shield from a distance as you get close to it. Then, use Rebellion to deal melee damage. Be wary of Hiruzen’s attacks, like his massive lasers, fireballs, and rain of energy blasts.
