Use Gerbera for Mobility and Evasion

Using Gerbera while moving launches you a significant distance into the air. You can send enemies airborne if you perform the attack near them, allowing you to begin aerial combos.

For narrow spaces, you can use Gerbera’s Petal Ray attack to damage multiple enemies at once. This can be done by charging the Devil Breaker and releasing the attack in the air.

Using Petal Ray also allows you to raise your Stylish Rank as it hits in multiple stages.

Gerbera’s evasive properties are also very good against very large bosses. Though Nero is limited to two “normal” jumps with the High Time ability, Gerbera allows you to perform a third pseudo jump to reach the boss’s weak points. This is typically the enemy’s head.

Gerbera also serves as a more reliable dodge than Nero’s normal one when you need to quickly get out of harm’s way. You can also shoot back projectiles from certain enemies and bosses.

Use Overture for High Damage

Overture’s basic attack sends out a powerful, hand-shaped, electric shockwave that does high damage to enemies. This makes it suited for bursting down foes during battle.

Hitting an enemy with Overture sends them flying away from you. This means that you’ll have to chase the enemy down to continue your assault, which may take some getting used to.

There is also a considerable recovery time after using Overture, so it is best to familiarize yourself with its timing.
