Burrow

You can tell when Qliphoth Roots is going for an attack because one of its tentacles will burrow underground and emerge where you are.

Overhead Stab

When you approach the boss, one of its tentacles will close in to stab you.

Strategy

Check its weak point

Thanks to its vegetative state, it is vulnerable to attacks. Channel your attacks to its core and keep an eye on its limbs which sprout from the ground to cover itself. Unleash a melee combo and move to the side of the weak point to dodge incoming tentacles. If your dodge moves you away from the weak point, score some hits with your ranged attacks as you close the distance. Make sure your “Exceed” gauge fills to the brim to maximize your damage.

Avoid taking damage

It is slow and you can easily tell if it’s hostile when one of the tips of its tentacles glow pale. This is a signal that it will close in for an attack. Its ranged attacks are sluggish compared to its melee ones, so dodging them is easier with normal jumps.
