| Ammunition Used: 5.56mm The M249 is a light machine gun that was first designed in 1976 by FN Herstal, a firearms manufacturer located in Herstal, Belgium. It is capable of holding a hundred rounds of ammo per magazine similar to that of the Tommy Gun but boasting greater combat power and firing rate. But since the firing mode it offers is only full auto, the M429 greatly suffers from high recoil. It’s best to shoot it with short bursts to achieve higher accuracy from longer distances. If you are in a prone shooting-positon, a bipod is usally (a two-legged gun suspension that supports the barrel) worn, so recoil is greatly suppressed. Using it under the cover of thick and tall grass or on the UAZ can help you secure higher rates of accuracy and firepower even against enemies out in the distance. |
