How to Split Ammo and Items in Duo Mode

When playing in Duo Mode in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, it is important for you and your partner or friend to work together. This means that aside from watching each other’s back and coordination your plan of attach, you should split and share any items, equipment and ammo you may or your friend may need. This makes it easier to survive the game after all, as you have someone you can rely on for supplies and survival.

To share or split any ammo and items you have with your friend or partner, simply hold Ctrl (Control) and drag the item or ammo to the ground. Afterwards, a window will appear that will allow you to indicate the amount you wish to drop. Bear in mind that this is assuming that you have the default keybindings on. Otherwise, you need to revert the keybindings to the original key assignments.

Another quicker way would be to just hold Crtl and then right click the ammo or item you want to share.

What Can be Shared in Duo Mode

Every type of ammo can be split between partners in Duo Mode. Also, players will be able to share consumable items such as bandages and energy and boost drinks. This makes for even more immersive co-op in the game, in addition to being able to revive your friend if he or she was downed by an enemy.

Other Tips on Splitting Ammo and Items

  • Sharing items between you and your partner or friend will render you very vulnerable to ambush. Always be aware of your surroundings when stopping to share items and ammo. Enclosed areas, especially houses, are good obviously good places to distribute items.
  • Holding Ctrl + Right Click makes you share the ammo or item faster, especially if you are being shot at or have enemies on your trail.
  • There are a lot of players who set the Ctrl (Control) button for Crouch. This stems from the majority of popular shooting games (most notably CS: GO) assigning the action to this specific key. Don’t hesitate to change keybindings occasionally in the game to allow you to share items with your partner or friend.
