Best Sniper Rifle Locations
In PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, there are a variety of guns and ways to win. However, the Sniper Rifles are the most sought out ones in-game. And, with perfect reason: the Sniper Rifle grants the player stealth and sustainability without compromising the number of kills and attack power. It also allows players to become extremely slippery; giving enemies a level of difficulty before defeating the enemy. They also have a variety of mods (“modifications”) which allow the player to bolster the deadliness of the said sniper rifle.
However, there are certain rifles that allow player a large advantage on the field. These sniper rifles are also the ones that have a very low drop/spawn rate on the battlefield.
List of Best Sniper Rifle Locations
AWM
The AWM, being the best rifle, is also one of the rarest rifles in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. On first sight however, the gun doesn’t look like much. However, it has a high chance of killing enemies upon head-shot. This particular rifle can deal a one-shot kill through Lvl 3 Helmets. However, the drop rate of this particular gun is extremely rare in which players recommend immediately finding a secondary weapon should they not find it.
When wielding this gun in its base form, it has a short scope and also a loud sound which allows players to easily track the wielder down. To utilize this gun to its full potential, players recommend giving it a more powerful scope and a suppressor which increases the player’s stealthiness in combat.
As of now, there’s no known area as to where it drops. It only appears through the Loot Crates to which it has a low chance of appearing.
M24
Similarly to the AWM, the M24 has good range but slightly less power than the AWM. The rarity of this gun is similar to that of the AWM in which it only appears via Loot Crates. Even then, the RNG (Random Number Generator) is quite low for this particular gun. Some say it appears in the military base while others say it’s exclusive to loot crate drops.
Kar98K
The Kar98K is a more common drop. It drops around Mylta, Pochinki, the school house, appartments, the villa, the hospital in Georgopol, and the air base. The main asset of the Kar98k is its ability to pierce through Lvl 2 helmets, allowing an easy kill shot through the first part in the game. However, late game – the player may have to be more slippery using the Kar98k due to the appearance of possible level 3 helmets.
SKS
The SKS’ main asset is its ability of semi-automatic fire. Unlike the other sniper rifles, this allows this particular rifle versatility in range. Players can either skirmish with one another due to the semi-automatic fire. Or, the player can focus on using the sniper’s advantage. The SKS becomes deadlier when equipped with a x4/x8 scope range. The SKS, similarly to the Kar98k, is commonly found in cities and in bunkers.
Bonus: VSS
The VSS is a rifle that becomes better in the long run. Because of its common ammo, built in suppressor and scope, this particular sniper rifle allows players to clinch the victory and turn tables. While everyone focuses on gaining the AWM or the M24, the VSS is commonly left lying around. But for veteran players, they consider investing in this due to the commonly found ammo along with the built in suppressor and scope. It also is capable of modifying its magazine and adding a sniper cheek pad for better stability.
