Strategy
The SCAR-L is one of the best assault rifles in the game (some would say it is the best in its class). It offers an impressive mix of power, effective range and accuracy for any combat situation. It also happens to use 5.56mm ammo, which is easily obtainable all around the map.
The weapon has manageable recoil, making it easier to aim especially in single-fire mode. It doesn’t enjoy the same damage as the AKM (as with all other assault rifles), but given that it is very easy to control even on fully-automatic firing up the mid-range makes it a favored weapon for assaults. The recoil can be reduced by equipping a grip attachment to it.
The SCAR-L is often compared to the M416, having nearly the same stats. As of the current patch, the it has less recoil and is more consistent at hitting targets at close-, mid- and long-range. It does not have as much options for attachments and mods as the M416, but the SCAR-L performs better in fully-automatic firing mode. In the end, it usually comes down to which weapon is more comfortable to use, which is different for everyone. But most people find the SCAR-L much more reliable as a main weapon, but the M416 is more than capable of filling the same role with good attachments.
