Substory 43: The Data Drifter Walkthrough

1	Return to the Dragon Kart front at Hamakita Park after winning the Phoenix Cup for a cutscene.
2	Accept Suguru’s challenge.
3	Win the race.

Strategy

Pain Circuit (Foggy)

Simply defeat Suguru on Pain Circuit (Foggy) to clear the substory. Because of the poor visibility you have during the race, it is recommended to have a good memory of the course before taking on Suguru.

An alternative to this is to just quickly glance at the map during the race, giving you a few seconds to decide which way to turn.

Use Crimson Fire

The Crimson Fire kart is easy to drive and is overall well-balanced, making it a good choice for this race. Try to have your kart upgraded to the maximum before the battle as well.

Fully-enhancing your kart will make it easier to defeat Suguru to the point where you only need to focus on driving and using the dash tiles to win. You can ignore any items (except for rings) on the road when your kart is at its maximum performance.
