Character Jobs List

Strategy

Use Poison.

Joon-Gi Han can use poison to deplete Majima and Saejima’s HP each turn, making it a viable strategy to defeat them. Note that the pair are considerably stronger than any bosses you have faced thus far in the story so any means of constant damage helps in beating them.

Majima’s Clone Summon

Among Majima’s most dangerous skills is his ability to create three copies of himself during the fight. It is recommended to use Kasuga’s ranged attacks and Zhao’s Whirlwind Sword Dance to quickly take the clones out.

Debuffs

Take advantage of Majima’s susceptiblity to debuffs that reduce his hit rate, particularly Flashlight. You can also lower his defense with Zhao’s Burning Turtle skill.

Majima and Saejima

When Hajima’s HP drops to 50%, Saejima will appear, allowing the pair to unleash a powerful attack called Goro Blade Duo Kill. The move does a staggering 350 damage to targets so it is recommended to keep your HP near full at all times when Saejima enters the battle. You can also use Brave Obsession in advance to help you get through the fight.

  1. I was stuck here forever. I researched every corner of the internet but couldn’t find enough information to work out a strategy that works. So here some tips:

    Be minimum level 45.
Majima is weak to Fire, Saejima weak to Ice/Water. Weapons with these Elements add the Element to all Attacks.
Don’t forget to use Pound Mates, when the clones spawn the Masochist is very usefull.
Keep debuffs on them up at all time.
Defeat Majima before Seajima. Saejima has very high defense and lot of HP but you can use Rocket Launcher on him which takes about a third of his life. Hope this helps.

  2. I tried this and it was absolutely useless on hard mode. I did a Whirlwind Sword Dance and it did less than 10% to the clones.

  3. I’m happy that the nanba and ishioda fight humbled me, because I hadn’t made enough saves and just went to fight them without thinking much about strategy. I wanted to give up the game in that chapter because I was soft locked in that chapter thanks to my stupidity. Now, I always read these walkthroughs and watch videos beforehand to be ready. One downside is that I get spoilered, but it’s okay. I just got into chapter 12 and I’ll make sure to grind a bunch of jobs

  4. Beat this at level 44-45. Had to use some +MP items and had to revive teammates a few times. Otherwise, just lowered their defense, raised my team’s attack, poisoned/stunned/etc. at every opportunity, and just wailed away.

  5. Went in with my party at levels 37-38 and got absolutely destroyed. Now I’m at lvl 43 but I am not feeling confident lol. I’m hoping Hero Kasuga, Chef Zhao, Musician Adachi and Hitman Joongi will be enough

  6. this was probably my favourite yakuza game (ignoring the garbage story and cretinous characters) but the difficulty curve at this point is just stupid. I’d promised myself I’d never play another gotoku game but I gave this a chance and while it is an improvement it’s still shitty

      • The story is shitty compared to traditional yakuzas like its so hard to take the story seriously with all the fantasy bullshit unlike other yakuzas where the main plot is actually serious instead of this shit where ypu fight bulldozers.

        • So you think story is bad just because the game put more Fantasy visual and funny/lay back character? Dude none of that had anything to do with storytelling, its still got that serious tension like previous yakuza. You just hated it because its different, not bad. In the end what you think is you own opinion with no justified value. That why no body give a shit.

  7. Grind until level 50 and it should be a just a boss fight with some actual strategy. Hell the most painful part of this fight for me was widdling down Saejima’s health after downing Majima because the dude is a living tank with resistances to EVERYTHING I swear.

  8. You know you’re in for a rough time when the boss has his own OST and opening animation.

Definitely grind in the Sotenbori Battle Arena before this fight, because this is where the difficulty curve of the game spikes. The bosses will also get two attacks per round, so make sure to have at least two teammates with healing skills or a ton of items.

  9. IF YOU ARE HAVING ISSUES:
Just run the Sotenbori Battle Arena 3-5 times, make sure you get on level. Joon-Gi is your best friend in this fight. Take him down Foreman, Host, and Fortuneteller to get the job skills and it will be a breeze.

    • Right like ive been leveling normally for a while and doing changing each job to get some part time hero stuff done and this is the first fight ive just been utterly outclassed and felt like a stop gate to go grind and had to stop and read a guide and reload a save so i didnt loose a couple mill

    • I went in with level 40 foreman adachi, idol eri, hitman joon, and hero kasuga. I kept putting up with clone majimas until he was about 3/4 if the way down. Only after killing the clones did saejima come in. Was able to kill majimas but struggled like hell with the other. Luckily I had two rocket launchers which took about 2/3 of his health and was able to get through
