You can find a variety of different insects while exploring the different areas of the game. Insects are mainly used as materials for crafting weapons and armor but also serve other useful purposes.

Selling for Money

Insects that you do not need can also be sold off for cash. Rare ones such as silver and gold insects fetch high prices compared to ordinary and common ones found in the game.

Hamakita Park

The best place to find any type of insect is at Hamakita Park. Note that the species and rarity of insects found in the location is random so you may need to visit the park a few times to catch any rare ones.

Trees

Trees found in the streets of the different cities are inhabited by different types of insects. These gathering spots replenish after collecting insects from all 11 possible locations (with the exception of Hamakita Park) with the first spot you gathered from respawning them and so on.
