Kazuma Kiryu Boss Guide
|Chapter Encountered||Chapter 14: Tradition|
|Ichiban Kasuga||Hero||Raises the party’s attack power with “Brave Command”. Can also fully heal allies with Brave Love (Rank 10).|
|Joon-gi Han||Hitman||Access to poison attacks that allows you to damage the boss each turn.|
|Saeko Mukouda||Hostess||Access to strong Cold attack (Sparkling Cannon).|
|Eri Katamaki||Idol||Dedicated healer and support class with access to party-wide recovery skill.|
Be aware of Kiryu’s Stances.
Kiryu uses four combat styles when fought and will switch to a different one based on his HP.
|Brawler||At the beginning of the fight (default style).||Basic physical attack style using punches and kicks.|
|Rush||At 2/3 HP.||Speed-focused style marked by high-speed offense and excellent evasion.|
|Beast||At 1/2 HP.||Hard-hitting style that allows Kiryu to use objects in his attacks.|
|Dragon of Dojima||At 1/4 HP.||Ultimate style that allows Kiryu to perform repel, parry, and tiger drop.|
Having Joon-Gi Han use poison to continuously deplete Kiryu’s HP is a viable strategy to defeat him. This is to allow you to keep damaging him even when you all party members are focused on recovering HP.
Reduce Kiryu’s Defense.
Using Meromero Typhoon and Burning Turtle Crush to lower Kiryu’s defenses is recommended when fighting him, though you will need to reapply any debuffs you inflicted (including poison) when he changes stances.
Attack with Cold.
Using Cold attacks is one of the best ways to damage Kiryu, especially with the Miss Kyaba job’s Sparkling Cannon ability. Using magic attacks will be especially important when Kiryu is at 1/4 HP and switches to Dragon of Dojima style. He will gain incredible damage output and the ability to counter incoming physical attacks.

Kiryu won’t attack female party members, so having Saeko and Eri in your main party will limit his attacks to Kasuga and whichever male party member is in your main party.
