M416 Assault Rifle Guide
The M416 is a good all-around assault rifle, with almost the same performance as the SCAR-L. It offers a nice balance of power, range, stability and accuracy. It is also worth noting that it can be looted from many locations in the map, typically in Georgopol, Sosnovka Military Base, Primorsk, Mylta Power, Yasnaya, Polyana, Rozhok and Novorepnoye. It also uses 5.56mm ammo, instead of the less-common 7.62mm, making it rather easier to keep loaded.
Of all the assault rifles in the game, the M416 is the most balanced, having nearly all the good things going for most of the other weapons in its class. It is usually compared to the SCAR-L, having nearly identical stats (though the M416 has more options for attachments and weapons mods). One drawback of the M416 compared to the SCAR-L is its larger recoil. This can be reduced by equipping a compensator muzzle mod for AR, S12K.

While it usually comes down to preference between the M416 and the SCAR-L, the common choice is usually the latter (even when fully equipped with attachments and mods). For very close-range combat, the M416 somewhat has an advantage over the SCAR-L because of its fire rate at fully-automatic mode. Bear in mind though that the SCAR-L is seen as being the most reliable of the two in most distances.
Overall, you will need to get a feel for both assault rifles to see which one suits you. Both are very viable main weapons even towards the closing minutes of the match
