On the Early Access Week 20 Update

On August 8, PUBG announced through steam that there are changes and fixes in the week 20 patch. It will be deployed to the Test Servers on Wednesday, August 9, and the Live Servers on Thursday. 

Updates include better optimization for game performance for CPUs with 6-cores or higher, as well as a better optimized user interface. Meanwhile, the motorbike engine and other vehicle skid sound effect volumes have been decreased.

There are a number of bug fixes in the update. Throwing grenades will in prone will now be easier due to the improved character animation. However, your hands will have to reach for the mute button in early game due to the devs fixing a bug that disabled the voice chat on the Starting Island.

Other bug fixes include seeing the mark from the character you’re observing in spectator mode, and a fix regarding changing graphics – quality – effects in-game. Finally, there are minor edits like improved wrist positions when you use the steering wheel.

On Gameplay Changes in the Update

PUBG can be played better due to the optimization of game performance for 6-core CPUs or higher.

When it comes to gameplay, their decreasing of motorbike engine and vehicle skid sound volumes will be a small but important change. The player will have to listen much, much closer for incoming vehicles, and players in vehicles will have a lot more freedom to move around without resistance.

You can also use the new mark system for simple strategies while you’re spectating for your allies.
