New Island Map Revealed

Belonging to the Yugoslavian territories which stays afloat on the Adriatic Sea, this new island map can be split into three distinct parts. First is the north terrain, which is covered by a dense forest. Second is down at the south where one may find the Mediterranean Coast. Third is the central portion of the map, which features a snow-covered mountain and a cosmodrome in ruins. It is said to act as a watchtower that overlooks the rest of the map putting certain players at an advantage, however caution must be taken as those roaming at the foot of the mountain can easily detect anyone idling at the peak.

Apart from the arctic region, it introduces a new collection of winter skins to combat the harsh climate, so be sure to keep an eye out.

The developers are planning to add this map which borrows the first map’s dimensions of 8 km x 8 km. Comparing this map to abandoned Russian island of Erangel, it seems to allow for more battle tactics given the diversity of the terrain. As such, more costumes are able to blend in to conceal one’s position. However, those who want to employ camouflage would tend to stick to those smaller areas, and will have to be more conscious of their surroundings upon being exposed to the rest of the terrain.

This map is revealed to be currently in development, with the map name and release date still unknown. Thus, content is subject to change when the map comes out. Stay tuned for more updates.
