About the new weapons and foggy weather
Recently we talked about the newly announced Ruger Mini-14, the latest addition to the Battlegrounds armory. This, along with a handful of other updates, will be featured in the new build to be released next week. This was alluded to recently by Battlegrounds’s official twitter in this post:
Some of the key features of the new build include a new weapon, foggy weather condition, FPP leaderboards and multiple bug fixes.

According to their official twitter, this update will be released next week, with test servers up for at least 2 days earlier than release date.
Foggy games will be extremely nerve-wracking, depending on how much fog there is in the field. This means that there’ll be new tactics required for you to survive and win the utterly worshiped chicken dinner at the end of a Battlegrounds game.
Are we going to get a Silent Hill vibe any time soon, though? One can dare hope! Halloween is just around the corner, and I wouldn’t mind any creepy horror references (like subtle noises out in the blue when you’re freaking camping in foggy weather).
If you’re wondering how the game would look whilst foggy, PUBG recently released an official image of the foggy weather:
That isn’t so bad. Again, I’d expect something a lot worse than just foggy from a distance. Maybe this will be tactically worse when you play it, but I don’t see any near-disadvantage to it. Perhaps they should thicken the fog a lot more? I think this will only be a problem if you’re a sniper or a look out for your squad. It will help you traverse open fields, though, given that you’ll have the fog for cover from any long-range attackers.
