Death Stranding File Size
The upcoming action title Death Stranding will take players on a journey across a vast open world, as seen in various trailers and gameplay demos. It is currently unknown just how much content the game will have. An image from Best Buy’s listing for the Death Stranding Limited Edition PS4 Pro, however, revealed the game’s file size.
Based on a zoomed-in shot from user vestan on Resetera’s forum, Death Stranding will require at least 55 GB of storage space on the Playstation 4. This is quite standard for most open-world titles on the system. Games such as Grand Theft Auto V, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and Final Fantasy XV are all within the range of 50 GB in terms of minimum file size.
It was also listed on the package that online play will be optional. Game director Hideo Kojima, however, stated that he did want people to play much of Death Stranding online. This could suggest that those playing solo will miss out on his latest work’s intended experience.
