SIE Worldwide Studios President on Death Stranding’s Story
Death Stranding’s narrative is like “a really well done Netflix original series.” This is according to Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida during a video interview with Dengeki Online. Mr. Yoshida shared his thoughts on playing the first 10 hours of the awaited title.
“I’d compare the story to a really well done Netflix original series. It feels like I reached only half of that series, and there are still many possibilities for what could happen next. Also, I heard you’ll definitely cry when reaching the second half of the game. Kojima Productions’ staff told me this, and even the debuggers at Sony told me this as well.”
Footage of the interview in Japanese can be viewed below. Mr. Yoshida’s statement, found in this article, was translated in an article from Dualshockers.
It comes as no surprise that Death Stranding’s story will not be anything short of gripping. The game follows the story of Sam Porter, an agent for the Bridges company who must travel the wastelands of the United Cities of America to reconnect its cities. Following a mysterious global catastrophe, strange beings know as beached things or “BTs” threaten mankind’s existence.
Death Stranding will be released on November 8th, 2019 on the Playstation 4.
