Main Quest Walkthrough – Magical Forest [Dragon Quest Heroes 2/ DHQII]

• C4 – You’ll spot it at first sight.
• C6 – It’s on a hill nearby
• E5 – There are seven treasure boxes around you. However, one of them is a Cannibox.
• F5 – Move past the poison smog
• G6 – On another hill

While proceeding through the forest, watch out for the high level monsters. Some of the trees can also drop materials or enemies can hide up there. When they appear, make sure you’re prepared enough to fight them. After defeating them, you’ll notice a lot of treasure boxes lying around. However, don’t just open them. Some of them may be Canniboxes and that will be a bit of a problem. There will also be a lot of Bubble Slimes which you can capture using the Monster Coins.

As you go through the areas, you’ll eventually reach the big boss at the end of the forest.

• The treasure box should be near the Lagoon in Area 5.
• Area 7 – It’s near the door on the left side of the area.
• Area 8 – Lagoon Area in Area 8.

How To Get Through the Area

This place is apparently one of those puzzles that send you back to the start if you get it wrong. Please refer to the map above as it gives you instructions. However, we’ll make a better set of instructions as soon as the game comes out.

• From Area 1, head to Area 3 from Area 2.
• From Area 3, head to the door on the opposite end to make your way to Area 6. There, you’ll have to fight a Mech Hunter.
• When you reach Area 6, head into Area 7. However, you’ll have to face down a King Slime.
• After that, make a right from Area 7 to head into Area 9.
• However, take note: Area 9 has a lot of monsters. Make sure you kite them and don’t die.

Events

As you go through this part of the forest, you’ll have to fight the Hacksaurus. This is quite annoying as it attacks only after a bunch of other monsters wear you down. Defeat the incoming waves of monsters strategically; don’t blow all your magic. Most of all, rely on pure physical attacks when you can. That way, come the large Hacksaurus – you’ll be able to fight him down. Unfortunately, you can’t have your allies completely deal the damage. You’ll have to do most of the damage.

Boss Battle: Terry and Hassan

Unfortunately after your battle with the Hacksaurus, you have to fight these two people. When they enter the battle, they’ll have their guard up so no use charging in. If you’re going to battle them, wait for them to drop their guard. Dodge around and pick them off one by one. Use the Focus Fire Strategy (focusing on one enemy ONLY) while dodging the other attacker’s attempts to hack you into pieces.
