Materials
Materials in Dragon Quest Heroes 2 is something you can easily get from killing enemies. Majority of the time, they drop only from specific enemies. But there are times you can find them randomly lying around on the ground. However, some items can be quite rare depending on what tier they’re from.

1st Tier Materials
These items under the 1st tier are normally because they’re cheaper and easier to find. If you notice, some of these items appear in the earlier parts of the game. Because of this, they often don’t sell for much.

2nd Tier Materials
When searching for the second tier items, most of them come from creatures that are a little mOre complex. Some of these creatures such as the Dragon class creatures are tricky to beat. However, if you understand the battle mechanics then, farming these particular materials won’t be so hard. Your main problem would be actually locating specific monsters and timing how fast they spawn.

3rd Tier Materials
These particular items under the third tier sell for a higher price. The reason for this may be due to the monster not spawning too much. Or, the item itself has a low drop rate. However, some of these items may not sell for much due to its nature or use.

For these materials, some of them may be hard to find. The reason why they’re up in this tier is because these materials have either a low drop rate or a narrow selection of creatures to farm them from. If you’re going to search for these materials, you’re going to end up spending a lot of time farming them.
