In this article we will talk regarding the recent news about the future release of the PUBG console version.

News about the PUBG Console Version

PC gamers have had Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds to themselves for quite a while now. Recently, the multiplayer battle royale game has dominated the Steam charts. Having passed the 600,000 mark a month ago, this video game continues to deliver quality gameplay while comfortably in its beta stages.

Well it looks like Battlegrounds will be on both Xbox and Ps4. The PUBG Console Version on Xbox One will release some time in early 2018. However, there is some vagueness regarding the release date, possibly due to Battlegrounds being a beta build. As of today there isn’t a Battlegrounds Xbox release date.

Apart from release date troubles, there have been recent issues regarding exclusivity. Last August 22, 2017, Mike Ybarra told Eurogamer that Battlegrounds will remain a console launch exclusive. So while the first  PUBG Console version release will be on the Xbox One, there’s a possibility that the other major console owners can get in on the action as well.

A feature piece on Brendan Greene via Bloomberg revealed that Bluehole might eventually release Battlegrounds on PS4. The article stated that Chang Byung-gyu’s company, Bluehole, was in talks with “all of the major console companies,” for the purpose of bringing Battlegrounds to the console scene. Specifically, Bluehole has been talking with Sony for a version on the PlayStation. No specific news on Nintendo just yet–but you’ll never know.

After all,  all of the major console companies are in talks with Bluehole regarding one of the best games on the market today. So those of you holding out hope for a Nintendo Switch release might just get your wish.
