[Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds / PUBG] Zombie Mode

The new Zombie Mode will soon be playable in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) for PC, PS4, and XBOX One. This article will provide several gameplay details and screenshots for the new mode.

What is Zombie Mode?

PUBG’s Zombie Mode was first announced during E3 2017, followed by a trailer that was shown on Twitch.

Zombie Mode will be played by several human teams as well as 90 zombie players that will try to eliminate each other in the battlefield. Although gameplay details are not fully revealed as of now, it is expected that the zombies in the mode will be controlled by players.

PUBG fans had been asking for zombies to be included in the game ever since its release. Zombies have been quite popular in FPS and third-person shooter games recently, and adding this special mode is a no-brainer for PUBG’s developers.

However, the developers of the game have stated that they will still focus on the core modes of the game and that the new mode will only be added as a gift for the fans of the game.

Gameplay Features Revealed

  • Zombies also spawn on airplanes during the start of the match.
  • A zombie attacks humans by hitting or biting.
  • The zombies will be sprinters (runners) and not shamblers (walkers). This will make the gameplay much faster and more exciting as slower zombies will be easier to kill than faster ones.
  • Zombies can not use weapons, vehicles, and items. They also cannot open doors.
  • Zombies can also be resuscitated if they go down.
  • Humans will not turn into zombies when you kill them as a zombie.

It seems that you can freely change the number of zombies and the number of humans in a match by changing the settings on a custom server.
In addition, these features may be changed in future updates.
