Guide on Crafting Equipment in Tales of Arise
Equipment such as weapons and accessories helps in boosting the capabilities of your party members in Tales of Arise. Apart from buying them from stores or acquiring them from the chests, you can also craft them using ores obtained from mineral deposits.
What makes crafted equipment different are their passive bonus skills. When you enhance them, the passive effects will be applied to the wielder in exchange for ores. You have up to four bonus skills under each accessory material or ore.
Getting Prepared
Obtain Accessory Materials or Ores
Look for mining deposits that contain random crafting materials or ores. You can have up to three ores when you examine them
You can have up to three ores when you examine them. If you have the meal effects like “Obtained Ore UP S” by consuming a “Vegetable Soup” meal, you can get rarer ores with more bonus skills.
Look for a Metal Engraver
Metal Engravers help you craft the accessories you want. Just make sure you have the required ores and have Gald to spend for the service.
These NPCs can be found in towns or in the wild posing as Shopkeepers.
Crafting Weapon
To make new accessories, choose the “Create Weapon” option.
Pick your Weapon to Create
Weapon ores converts to a particular weapon. Each weapon crafted uniquely boosts a certain status of your character at different values.
Craft and Equip the Weapon
As soon as you crafted the weapon, you can equip it to you wielder immediately. Some weapons may have bonus effects when worn.

Similarly, choose the “Create Accessory” option to make accessories:

Each accessory ore converts to a particular accessory. They range between Attack, Defense, and Support Accessories. Each accessory uniquely boosts a certain status of your character.
Pick your Accessory Material or Ore
As mentioned before, each ore has unique passive skills. The higher the rarity of the ore, the more passive bonus skills they have. You need to enhance your accessory in order to activate the bonus effects.
Craft and Equip the Accessory
Accept and craft the accessory you want. As soon as you made the accessories, equip them for your characters. It is important to have more than one type of accessory for each party member in such cases that their role change from being a damage dealer to a supporting character.
