How to Use Boost Strike

What are Boost Strikes?

Boost Strikes are powerful one-hit-kill moves that each character can perform during battle under specific circumstances. They are among the most damaging techniques in combat that do not require you to spend AG to execute.

Triggering Boost Strikes

Boost Strikes can only be performed when STRIKE is indicated on a targeted enemy. Forcing enemies into a STRIKE state can be achieved by chaining as many hits on them during a combo or lowering their health. An symbol in the shape of a diamond that appears on enemies will indicate how close foes are toward going into a STRIKE state.

When STRIKE appears on the enemy, press a button on the directional pad to initiate a Boost Strike with a party member assigned to the directional button.

Boost Strike on Bosses

Note that performing Boost Strikes on bosses will not instantly kill them. They will, instead, suffer massive damage, making Boost Strikes a high-priority offensive option during boss battles.
