How to Upgrade to the PS5 Version of Tales of Arise
You can upgrade a Playstation 4 version of Tales of Arise to the Playstation 5 version for free through a few simple steps. Upgrading to the PS5 version is possible on both the physical disc and digital download versions of the game. You will, however, require an internet connection and a Playstation Network (PSN) account.
Requirements for the PS5 Upgrade
Internet Connection
Since the free PS5 upgrade is digitally downloaded, you will need an internet connection to upgrade.
Tales of Arise game disc that is the same region as your PSN account (for upgrading the physical version of the game)
To upgrade the physical disc version of Tales of Arise to the PS5 version, your copy of the game must be under the same region as your PSN account. For example, if you own an R1 physical disc of Tales of Arise (Bermuda, Canada, United States, and US territories), you cannot upgrade it to the PS5 version if you are using a Japan PSN account.

Upgrading Tales of Arise (Physical) PS4 Version to PS5 Version

| 4 | Select the PS5 Upgrade under “Game.” |

The disc is required for playing the PS5 version of Tales of Arise.
After downloading the upgrade, you will be able to play the PS5 version of Tales of Arise by inserting the game disc into the console. Note that it is not possible to play the game without it.
