Boss Guide on Data Marluxia (Limit Cut Episode)
Data Marluxia is one of the boss enemies encountered in Kingdom Hearts 3 Re:Mind.

It is recommended to have Sora at max level 99 to avoid getting knocked out in one hit.

Attacks
1) Continuous Swing
Data Marluxia charges and strikes five times in quick succession. He vanishes in between strikes.
2) Vacuum Strike
Data Marluxia summons a dark aura that pulls Sora’s feet, and then slices him.
3) Continuous Assault
Data Marluxia rushes while spinning. He finishes off with a wide area of effect.
4) Death Counter
Data Marluxia puts a counter above Sora’s head. When the number hits 0, the game is over.
5) Prickly Thorns
Data Marluxia conjures a circle where thorns appear. The attack cannot be blocked.
6) Laser beam
Data Marluxia sends orbs that shoot laser beams. The projectiles can be destroyed with attacks.
Strategy
1) Dodge the fifth strike
One of Data Marluxia’s attacks shows him charging five times while glowing. The fifth and final attack cannot be blocked with Guard, so you need to time the window between his fourth and last attack. After getting past the fourth, time the fifth with a well-placed Dodge Roll, and then quickly close in with a volley of attacks of your own when he stops glowing.
2) Interrupt Death Counter
Data Marluxia can also rely on using Death Counter to force a game over but luckily, there’s a way to get around it. Wait for “Dispel” to pop up on screen and then use the remaining time to distract the boss with attacks. Chain a combo to cancel the countdown.
3) Rely on fire attacks
Configure the shortcut so that you have Firaga ready to deploy. In the boss fight, pay attention to the boss’ appearance. When he cloaks himself in a bright aura, dispense Firaga for some good damage.
