Big Boo Flag Location
Big Boo’s Musty Fear Flag is found on Yo’ster Isle. Walk to the large GOAL marking at the finish line of the racetrack and examine the flag in the middle of the letters O and A.
Greaper Flag Location
Greaper’s Musty Fear Flag is found by examining the back of the wooden flower sign by the entrance of Rose Town (west edge of town).
Dry Bones Flag Location
Dry Bones’ Musty Fear Flag is under Mario’s bed in Mario’s Pad. It is worth noting that the only green bed in the game is indeed the one at Mario’s house, making the clue accurate.
Reward for Finding All Musty Fear Flags
Ghost Medal (Accessory)
After finding all three Musty Fear Flags, you will receive the Ghost Medal accessory which halves all damage taken by its wearer. It is among the most useful piece of gear to use for Mallow who has the lowest physical defense and HP out of all characters in the game. It does not, however, offer any increase in stats.

Initiated after sleeping at the inn in Monstro Town.
The 3 Musty Fears side quest can be started after reaching Monstro Town after you have obtained the fifth Star Piece. Three ghostly friends called the 3 Musty Fears (likely a play on “The Three Musketeers”) approach Mario in a dream when the hero spends the night at Monstro Town’s inn.
