The best armor for Mario is the Super Suit which gives the hero a +50 boost in all stats as well as +30 in speed. These bonuses all work towards making Mario an offensive powerhouse who can put out insane damage with normal attacks and special moves, especially with the Lazy Shell and Attack Scarf equipped.
How to Get the Super Suit
The Super Suit is obtained by talking to Chow in Monstro Town after doing 100 consecutive Super Jumps in battle.

Prince Pants
At 48 defense and 24 magic defense, the Prince Pants is the best armor for Mallow in the game. The Prince Pants’ stats are identical to Mario’s Hero Shirt and Peach’s Royal Dress, though Mallow will be able to get more out of equipping his piece of gear due to his naturally low defense and HP.

Like all end-game armor, the Prince Pants can be purchased from Croco’s 2nd shop in Bowser’s Keep for 100 Coins.

The best armor for Geno is the Star Cape which grants him 36 physical defense and 18 magic defense. The Star Cape has the second lowest overall stats out of all end-game defensive gear for all characters, only being superior to Bowser’s Heal Shell.
