Star Piece 3 Walkthrough Summary
The Third is obtained once you defeat Punchinello at the Mole Mines. You will need to go through the pipe dungeon connecting Rose Town and Moleville to clear this section of the main story.

| 6 | Open the blocked path using the Petit Bomb and head to the next area. |
| 7 | Defeat Punchinello. |
Third Star Piece Walkthrough Tips
Stop by Yo’ster Isle on your way to Moleville.
You can make a detour from the pipe dungeon to Yo’ster Isle before reaching Moleville. While in Yo’ster Isle, try to do Yoshi Races to get items like Yoshi Cookies that you can use to summon Yoshi in battle.
Take down the Sackit before fighting Croco.
Before fighting Croco at Mole Mines, look for the Sackit hiding behind the jump pad and crates to get a Flower Tablet.
Note that the Sackit will disappear forever if you defeat Croco before finding it.
Buy Fearless Pins at Rose Town before fighting Punchinello.
Equipping Fearless Pins on all characters grants the party resistance to the Fear status that Punchinello can inflict during the fight.
You can buy Fearless Pins at Rose Town for 130 Coins each.
Third Star Piece Boss Strategies
Defeat Croco at Mole Mines.
Be sure to reserve some FP so Mallow can heal the party with HP Rain as Croco can seal the use of items during the fight.
Because of this, stick to normal attacks to damage Croco until he is defeated.
Super Mario RPG Remake How to Beat Croco (2nd Battle)
Defeat Punchinello at Mole Mines.
Ignore the bomb minions (including the large one) that Punchinello summons during the fight as he can spaw them indefinitely. Focus all your attacks on Punchinello himself.
Be sure to use non-jump attacks to deplete Punchinello’s HP and heal when you need to. As mentioned, equipping everyone with Fearless Pins will make the fight significantly easier.
