Super Mario RPG Remake - How to Beat Booster

How to Beat Booster Guide for Super Mario RPG Remake

Strategy to Beat Booster
  • Defeat all Snifits first.
  • Use Mario’s Jump Attack.
  • Block the boss’ bomb attacks.

Defeat all Snifits first.

At the start of the battle, Booster will have 3 Snifits with him. You must first defeat all of the Snifits, or else you won’t be able to deal any damage to Booster. To eliminate them quickly, use either Mallow’s Thunderbolt or Bowser’s Terrorize.

Use Mario’s Jump Attack.

Mario’s jump attacks are highly effective against Booster. Therefore, it is strongly suggested that you keep using Jump and Super Jump to deal damage to the boss.

Block the boss’ bomb attacks.

All of Booster’s attacks are physical, which means you can block most of his attacks. You can reduce his damage by blocking at the right moment or before the attack hits. Time your block perfectly to avoid taking too much damage from his attacks.

Booster Skills and Moveset

Bomb Toss

This attack is slightly more powerful than the boss’ normal attack. Equip armor that has a high defense stat to reduce damage from the boss.

Spritz Bomb

An attack that deals physical damage to a single target. Booster will throw a barrage of bombs on the target, dealing twice as much damage as a normal attack.

Loco Express

Probably the most powerful attack that Booster has in his arsenal. This attack deals nearly 4 times more damage than a normal attack. It is recommended to recover your HP as soon as you get hit by this attack.

Best Party Setup and Equipment

Best Characters

  • Mario – main damage dealer, and his jump attacks are highly effective against Booster.
  • Mallow – can deal damage to multiple enemies using his Thunderbolt and provides healing to the party.
  • Bowser – can deal damage to multiple enemies using his Terrorize.

In this boss fight, it is recommended to bring characters that can deal damage to multiple enemies at once. Therefore, having Mallow and Bowser in your party will give you an edge in this boss fight.

Best Equipment

  • Chomp – greatly increases Bowser’s attack power. It can also be obtained in the Booster Tower.

The Chomp will increase Bowser’s attack, which will help you defeat Booster’s allies easily. It can also be acquired in the Booster Tower, where the boss fight will take place.

More Information about Booster

Weakness

Booster is weak against jump attacks, thus making Mario play a crucial role in the battle. Keep using Jump attacks on the boss, and use your party members skills to defeat his allies.

Location

The Booster boss fight will take place in the Booster Tower. Look for the Chomp weapon first before heading into the boss fight, as it will give a huge boost to Bowser’s attack power.
