New Obtainable Items in Super Mario RPG Remake
Finishing the main story and clearing post-game content allows you to obtain new powerful equipment.
New items and equipment can be unlocked during the post-game stages of Super Mario RPG Remake. Among the the pieces of gear added to the game are new weapons for Mallow, Geno, and Bowser which are more powerful than their end-game weapons from the original version of the game.
Super Mario RPG Remake Post-Game Unlockables
Get new equipment from Boss Rematches.
Most of the new equipment are obtained from defeating enhanced versions of certain story bosses in what are called Boss Rematch battles. These post-game weapons and accessories are likely to help you take on Culex 3D who represents the toughest challenge the remake has to offer after you have beaten the main story.

Extra Shiny Stone
Unlocks Culex 3D hidden superboss battle (post-game).
A new variant of the Shiny Stone called the Extra Shiny Stone can also be obtained during the post-game stages by defeating Duel-Ready Johnny (Boss Rematch). This key item allows you to enter the sealed door in Monstro Town to fight the enhanced version of the hidden superboss Culex called Culex 3D in his own rematch battle.
Super Mario RPG Remake How to Get Extra Shiny Stone
Upon defeat, Culex 3D will reward you with the Crystal Shard which serves no actual use in the game apart from being proof that you have bested the incredibly powerful version of the superboss.
Super Mario RPG Remake How to Unlock Culex 3D Boss Fight
Culex 3D represents the hardest boss fight in the remake and is required for completing the Monster List. Finishing all of this enemy compendium’s entries, meanwhile, allows you to obtain the Monster Trophy if you are aiming for 100% completion.
