Use Geno Boost to give allies attack and defense buff

In this boss fight use Geno’s “Geno Boost” to buff all your allies. Geno Boost can buff both attack and defense with a successful action command, giving you an advantage for this fight.

Heal with Peach skill when Yaridovich use water blast

Use Peach’s healing skill “Group Hug” to recover your HP after Yaridovich use “Water Blast”. Water Blast is a powerful attack that deal a lot of damage to your party and will almost kills your party even when your HP is full.

Water Blast maybe used in a row

Yaridovich can use Water Blast in a row. If your HP is not full there is a high chance that it will wipe you out even if you defend, so be careful with your remaining FP and prioritize recovery in the fight.

Distinguish clones by their order of action and attack method

After you deals a certain amount of damage to Yaridovich, he will clone himself with “Mirage Attack”. Clones cannot be distinguished by their appearance but they can be distinguished by their order of action and attack methods.

The one that move after “Mirage Attack” is the clone

Yaridovich clone is the one that acts first after “Mirage Attack” is used. When the main body’s  use “Mirage Attack” it’s treated as a one-turn action, so after the “Mirage Attack”, the clones will act in the order of their actions, making it easy to distinguish between the main body.

The one that use lightning magic and meteor blast is the clone

Yaridovich clone uses three lightning magical attacks: Bolt, Static E! and Meteor Blast. Since the main body does not use the same magic attacks as the clones, it is possible to distinguish them by their attacks.

Ignore the clone and focus attacking the main body

After Yaridovich use “Mirage Attack” just ignore the clone and focus attacking the main body. Even if you don’t defeat the clone, after a few turns the clone will dissapear, so it’s better to attack the main body.

Yaridovich Main Body Skills and Moveset

Normal Attack

His normal attack is a single target attack. It is a blockable move with a long preliminary movement, so make sure to execute the action command successfully to reduce the damage you receive.

Water Blast

Water Blast is an unblockable AOE magic attack. Even with full HP, the damage is high so try to keep your HP high and immediately after Yaridovich uses Water Blast, use Peach’s healing skills to recover the HP of the entire party.

Pierce

Pierce is a powerful single target attack. It is a blockable move and the attack motion is the same as the normal attack so stay calm and execute the action command successfully to reduce the damage you receive.

Glowing Shot

Glowing Shot is a single target attack that releases a small white bullet. Although it is a blockable move, the attack motion is difficult to see as it comes from a close distance to the target character, so be sure to watch it along with the sound effect of the attack and time your guard action command.

Mirage Attack

Mirage attack is a skill that deploys one clone. It is used when Yaridovich HP falls below a certain number. Although it is difficult to tell the clones apart by their  appearance, the clones have unique characteristic such as acting first after Yaridovich use “Mirage Attack” and using lightning magic and Meteor Blast to attack. Because of this it is possible to tell the difference between the clone and the main body without using Mallow skill “Psychopath”.

Flame Stone

Flamestone is a fire attribute single target magic attack that attacks by falling down large fireballs from the top of the screen onto the player. Since Flamestone is a fire attribute attack, you can counter it with accessories that reduce elemental damage taken such as “Amulet” and “Safety Ring”.

Willy Wisp

Will-O-Wisp is a single target magic attack that attacks with a red energy ball. You can’t block magic attacks, so make sure each party member has a lot of HP to take the hit.

Yaridovich Clone Skills and Moveset

Normal Attack

The clone’s normal attack is the same as the main body. It is a blockable move with a long preliminary movement, so make sure to execute the action command successfully to reduce the damage you receive.

Bolt

Bolt is a single target lightning magic attack that causes lightning to strike a single character. Since Bolt is a lightning attribute attack, you can counter it with accessories that reduce elemental damage taken such as “Amulet” and “Safety Ring”.

Static E!

Static E! is a lightning attribute magic attack that hits all character in your party. Like Bolt, Static E! also has the lightning attribute, so it can be countered with accessories that reduce elemental damage taken such as “Amulet” and “Safety Ring”.

Meteor Blast

Meteor Blast is an AOE magic attack that releases a star flashing all over the screen. Although it’s not as powerful as Water Blast, it’s still a powerful magic attack that hits all party members, so make sure your entire party has a lot of HP to avoid being wiped out.

Best Party Setup and Equipment

Best Characters

  • Geno – Powerful Attack/Defense buffs with Geno Boost and have a high speed value that allows you to act quickly.
  • Peach – Has the ability to heal party members and can equip B’tub Ring to reduce elemental damage taken by 50%.

Because of Geno’s and Peach’s skills, it is highly recommended to put them on your team for this battle. Geno has a high speed value so he can act before Yaridovich, allowing him to quickly give attack and defense buffs to your party with Geno Boost. Peach, on the other hand, can recover party member HP after receive the large amount of damage caused by Yaridovich powerful area magic attack “Water Blast”. If you keep fighting while giving buffs with Geno and recovering with Peach, you will be able to defeat Yaridovich.

Best Equipment

  • Safety Ring
  • Amulet
  • B’tub Ring

In the battle against Yaridovich, use equipment that has reduce elemental damage taken effect. Yaridovich uses attribute magic attacks on both his main body and clones, so if you equip a reduce elemental damage taken accessories, you can reduce the damage you takes significantly.

Yaridovich is weak against lightning.

You will encounter Yaridovich in the Seaside Town. To fight Yaridovich, you need to clear the Sunken Ship.
