Second Star Piece Walkthrough Tips
Get the Trueform Pin by defeating the Pandorite in Kero Sewers.
While at Kero Sewers, try to take down the Pandorite to get the Trueform Pin. This accessory grants its wearer resistance to the Scarecrow status which will be useful during the fight against Belome later.
Give the Cricket Pie to Frogfucius to get the Froggie Stick.
Use the Rare Frog Coin to buy the Cricket Pie at the item shop in Mushroom Kingdom. Afterwards, give the item to Frogfucius at Tadpole Pond to get the Froggie Stick weapon for Mallow.
Stock up on healing items.
It is highly recommended to buy as many healing items as you can before taking on Belome and Boywer as these bosses can prevent Mallow from healing the party with HP Rain. Because of this, your only option to keep everyone alive is to use items.
Second Star Piece Boss Strategies
Defeat Belome at Kero Sewers.
Equip accessories, especially the Wake Up Pin and Trueform Pin, to gain resistance against the status ailments that Belome can inflict during the fight. Since Mallow will likely be unable to heal the party using skills, try bringing a lot of Mushrooms and other healing items to recover HP.
Super Mario RPG Remake How to Beat Belome (1st Battle)
Defeat Bowyer at the Forest Maze.
Bowyer will constantly seal a specific command button during the fight, preventing you from using them.
Do not hesitate to use healing items or skills depending on which is available on your turn to keep the party’s HP up at all times. Being at low health is extremely dangerous when Bowyer uses attacks that can hit your entire party.
Have Geno use Geno Beam when you can spare the FP while Mario uses normal attacks (again, depending on which is available).
