Side Quests 01-10 Guide
This article contains the compilation of the “Material effect upgrades” Quests in Dragon Quest Heroes 2. It includes the prerequisite, Area, Time limit, Reward, and Conditions to obtain the increase in potency of certain items.
The Side Quests generally consist of 3 which include: Improving Healing power, Upgrading Healstone capacity, Upgrading Coin potency, and Unlocking items from the Blacksmith.
Improving Healing power
Part 1

Collect the Raw healing stone dropped by King slime in Rozas Forest.
Part 2

Collect the Raw healing crystal from Moosifer in Rao wasteland.
Part 3

Gather the healing jewel that Missing lynx from the Meadow of darkness.
Upgrading Healstone capacity
Part 4

Hacksaurus which appears in Amal Canyon.To obtain Small scales, hunt for any of the following:
- Mandrake major which spawns in Ihrim Snowfield. Note that this item’s drop rate from this monster is lower.
Part 5

Goodybag which appears in Zebion Trials.Apart from the Sparkling sapphire drops from the hunt, you will also obtain Glitter place rewards in Amal Canyon and Labyrinth of the Space-Time “The sacred area of the deceased.”
- Mandrake major which spawns in Ihrim Snowfield.
- Demon-at-arms which comes from Rao wasteland.
- Knight errant which spawns in Jaiwarl.
Upgrading Coin Potency
Part 6

Defeat the Mud mannequins holding the monster coin to obtain a Raw magic stone.
Part 7

| Prerequisite | Defeat the Boss The King of Daral |
To obtain the Magic crystal, take out Skeleton scrappers which bear the monster coin.
Part 8

By conquering the monster coin bearing Hellion in C-7 of the Snowfields of darkness, it will drop the Magic jewel.
Unlocking items from the Blacksmith
Part 9

| Prerequisite | After event with Maya, interact with the Smith in Zebion C-5 |
There are a number of areas to farm for Fresh water which include Gordo desert and Rozas Forest.
- Healslime which spawns at Rozas Forest and Orenka Trials, drop it at a low chance.
- Cureslime also drops it at Zebion Trials.
- Bomboulder which appears in Desert of darkness.
On the other hand, Ethereal stone spawn in Rao wasteland.
- Shadows which appear in Legend Regens, drop it at a low chance.
- Over at Zebion Trials, Sorcerers also drop it at a low chance.
- In addition, it is a rare drop from the Blood mummy which also appear in the Desert of darkness.
Part 10

| Prerequisite | After escaping from the Boss Drakulard, proceed to Zebion C-5 and interact with the Smith. |
Apart from the monster drops, you will also receive items from the Glitter place in Gordo desert and Amal Canyon.
- Slime knight which appears in Greene grasslands drop it.
- Knight errant which appears in Jaiwarl battle.
- Restless armour which spawns in Rozas Forest.
- From Legend Mountain, the Metal slime knight also drops it.
To obtain the “sparkle,” you need to pass through Ihrim Snowfield, or Sacred Mountain to find the Powie yowie.
