How to Get Secret Books

What are Secret Books?

Secret Books are valuable items used in Awakening which reduce the BP cost of a character’s various skills. This allows characters to use powerful skills and spells more frequently in battle.

The Awakening feature is unlocked upon clearing chapter 5-2-12 of the main story.

Obtaining Secret Books

Weekly Missions

Clearing weekly missions that require you to defeat a certain number of enemies rewards secret books. Two are rewarded for each mission so it is important to do them every week.

Mission	Reward
Defeat 100 enemies.	Secret Book (Beginning) x2
Defeat 500 enemies.	Secret Book (Destruction) x2
Defeat 1,000 enemies.	Secret Book (Sudden) x2

Events

Secret books can also be obtained as event rewards or by exchanging event items at the event shop. Try to make the most out of special events as they are usually available for a limited time only.

When to Use Secret Books

Secret Books are very valuable resources as they allow your characters to have more liberal use of skills and abilities in battle. This means that you should plan out how to use them efficiently. Do not waste secret books on characters that do not have useful abilities or those that you do not plan on using towards the late game stages.

Types of Secret Books

The type of secret book that you need to Awaken a character’s skill depends on a skill’s current awakening stage. Certain skills can only be awakened once while more powerful ones can be awakened up to three times.
