In Pokemon Sun and Moon, you can collect Pokemon and register them as a "Battle Team" for the QR Rental Team that can be later used by other players.

QR Rental Team

  • In Pokemon Sun and Moon, you can collect Pokemon and register them as a “Battle Team” for the QR Rental Team that can be later used by other players.
  • A Battle Team can have 1 to 6 Pokemon and up to 6 Battle Teams can be registered.
  • A Pokemon may be registered multiple times for the Battle Team.
  • This is known as QR Rental.

How to use The QR Rental Team

Renting Another Team

  • Just search and select the team you want to use from the battle teams published on the Pokemon Global Link and scan the QR Code.
  • You can then use the rented battle team in competitions for online and live format.
  • To participate in the online format, you can connect online using the 3DS’s Wi-Fi.
  • To participate in the live format, you must be near other players to use the infrared function.

Renting Your Own Team

  • Placing your team on the Pokemon Global Link allows other users to rent your own Pokemon Team.
