Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon - Pokemon that Change Form

Some Pokemon change their form during battle. Some will change form according to the weather, while some change according to the ability they used.

Some Pokemon change their form during battle. Some will change form according to the weather, while some change their form depending on the ability they use. Some Pokemon also change their stats as well as their types when they change form. Below are tables that show Pokemon that can change form during battle and outside of the battle.

Pokemon that Change Form During Battle

Pokemon Details
Cherrim Cherrim changes to its Sunshine Form if the weather is sunny.

If the weather is not sunny, Cherrim goes back to its Overcast Form.

Castform Castform changes form depending on the weather.

Castform is in its normal form when the weather is either a shadowy aura, a sandstorm or if the weather is fog.

Castform wiill change to its Sunny Form and become a fire type if the weather is harsh sunlight.

Castform wiill change to its Rainy Form and become a water type if the weather is rain.

Castform wiill change to its Snowy Form and become an ice type if the weather is hail.

Darmanitan Darmanitan can only change to Zen Mode if the Pokemon has the ability Zen Mode.

Darmanitan will change to Zen Mode if its HP falls to below half of it.

Darmanitan will revert to its Standard Mode if its HP goes back up to more than half of it.

Meloetta Meloetta‘s original form is Aria Forme.

Meloetta will change to its second form, Piroutte Forme by activating the move Relic Song.

Greninja Greninja has a special form called Ash-Greninja.

Greninja can change to this form by using the ability, Battle Bond.

Aegislash Aegislash can change form depending on the move it uses.

If Aegislash uses the move King’s Shield, it changes to its Shield Forme which greatly increases its defense in exchange for a lower attack.

Using any abilities that causes damage will revert it back to its Blade Forme.

Wishiwashi Wishiwashi can change its form using the Ability, Schooling but only if it’s at least level 20.

Wisiwashi can change to School Form either at the start ob the battle or the end of its turn if its HP is still above 25% of its maximum HP.

Minior Minior can change to its Core Form if it uses its Shields Down ability.

Minior can change form at the start of the battle or at the end of its turn if its HP is still above 50% of its maximum HP.

Minior will cahnge to its Core Form if its HP belows 50% of its maximum HP.

Pokemon that Change Form Outside of Battle

Deoxys Deoxys can change to four different forms using the meteorite that can be found  in the Hokulani Observatory in Ula’ula Island by speaking to Sophocles.

Deoxys has four forms that include its Normal Forme of which it’s in its most balance state, the Attack Forme of which it is strong offensively, the Defense Forme which prioritizes its defense stats, and the Speed Forme that prioritizes its speed.

Burmy Burmy can change its form depending on the environment it last battled in.

Burmy changes to its Sandy Cloak when the last battled it participated in was either in a sandy area or a rocky area.

Burmy changes to its Plant Cloak when the last battled it participated in was either in a water area or a grassy area.

Burmy changes to its Trash Cloak when the last battled it participated in was somewhere in an urbanized area with buildings.

Rotom Rotom has five different forms it can change to depending on what it possesses.

Rotom can possess household appliances, each having unique moves.

Heat Rotom can do Overheat when it possesses a microwave oven which in turn changes its type to Electric/Fire.

Wash Rotom can do Hydro Pump when it possesses a washing machine which in turn changes its type to Electric/Water.

Frost Rotom can do Blizzard when it possesses a refrigerator which in turn changes its type to Electric/Ice.

Fan Rotom can do Air Slash when it possesses a microwave oven which in turn changes its type to Electric/Flying.

Mow Rotom can do Leaf Storm when it possesses a microwave oven which in turn changes its type to Electric/Grass.

Giratina Giratina has two forms, its Altered Forme and its Origin Forme.

It is normally in its Altered Forme and can only change to its Origin Forme if it is possessing a Griseous Orb.

Shaymin Shaymin has two forms, its Land Forme and its Sky Forme.

Shaymin can transform to its Sky Forme if its exposed to a Gracidea which also changes its type from Grass to Grass/Flying.

It will, however, revert back to its Land Forme at night while frozen and deposited into the Pokemon Bank, Nurserry or the PC.

Arceus Arceus can change to all of the typees available in the game.

Arceus’ can change its type depending on the Plate it is holding or depending on the Z-Crystal it holds.

The three Forces of Nature can change into their Therian Forme when they are exposed to a Reveal Glass.
Kyurem Kyurem  can change to its two other forms namely, White Kyurem and Black Kyurem using DNA Splicers that fuses it with either Zekrom or Reshiram.

White Kyurem has the Ability Turboblaze that allows it to learn the moves Fusion Flare as well as Ice Burn. White Kyurem‘s cries also adds Reshiram‘s as well as Kyurem‘s itself.

Black Kyurem has the Ability Teravolt that allows it to learn the moves Fusion Bolt as well as Freeze Shock. Black Kyurem‘s cries also adds Zekrom‘s as well as Kyurem‘s itself.

Keldeo Keldeo has two forms. Ordinary and Resolute Form.

Keldeo can transform to its Resolute Form if it is taught Secret Sword.

Hoopa Hoopa has two forms. Hoopa Confined and Hoopa Unbound.

Hoopa will change to its Unbound Form if it’s exposed to a Prison Bottle of which its type and stats will change entirely.

Oricorio Oricorio has four different styles. This includes Baile Style, Pom-Pom Style, Pa’u Style and Sensu Style.

The style depends on the island that they capture the Oricorio.

Baile Style is exclusive on Ula’ula Island.

Pom-Pom Style is exclusive on Melemele Island.

Pa’u Style is exclusive on Akala Island.

Sensu Style is exclusive on Poni Island.

Silvally Silvally has eighteen different forms that accommodates all types in the game.

Silvally can change to any type depending on the Memory it is holding.

Zygarde Zygarde has three different formes.

Zygarde 10% Forme is a Zygarde with only 10% of its cells.

Zygarde 50% Forme is a Zygarde with only 50% of its cells.

Zygarde Complete Forme is a Zygarde with 100% of its cells.

Zygarde can change to its Complete Form if its HP falls below half of its maximum HP.
