Strange Evil Trailer Confirms Mewtwo
Nintendo revealed a new trailer referred to as ‘Strange Evil’: the trailer focused on a smorgasbord of mostly old highlights that were already shown in previous teaser videos. In the first few seconds, the video showed the game mascot Necrozma in full 3D animation emerge from a portal. As we move to the next section, it reveals the protagonist’s discovery of another portal, which is possibly the link between the Ultra Megalopolis and the beginning of the wormhole adventure sequence.

Around the 10-second mark, Mewtwo appears in an encounter, which is likely a post-game feature. The remainder of the video continues with more old news: the arrival of the Ultra Beasts, and the more glimpses of the Ultra Megalopolis.
The video concludes with event exclusive Dusk Form Lycanroc showing off its unique Z-move, and Necrozma interacting with the protagonist in a cut scene.
National Dex Legendary Pokemon

Despite the lack of new content, the trailer highlighted the return of Mewtwo as the first National Dex Legendary Pokemon. During the interview with IGN, two of the staff members of Game Freak had already confirmed its appearance, however at that time there was lack of game play footage to support the claim.
Pokemon games often bring old legendary Pokemon to the New Poke Dex in hopes of making them available to players who lack a copy of the previous game. For those who followed the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games, their obtainable National Dex legendary capped at a whopping 19. By reintroducing Mewtwo, the new games aim to reinforce this feature.
We assume that these games will bring back more legendary Pokemon, as hinted in the interview. Although Mewtwo is already confirmed in the game, the full legendary roster continues to remain at a standstill.
Stay tuned for updates as we count down the few remaining days before the games’ release.
