What are Sword Kits?

Sword Kits are unique materials used to customize the appearance of Jin’s sword, the Sakai Storm. Collecting them counts towards completing the sword kits objectives under Collections.

Sword kits are found at Pillars of Honor. These are special landmarks found all throughout the island of Tsushima which have been erected to honor fallen samurai. Note that there are 23 Pillars of Honor in the game.

Sword Customization

After obtaining a Sword Kit, you an equip it on the Sakai Storm by opening the menu and going to Gear. Press the x button to customize your sword with your chosen kit.

Mamushi Venom Your blades strike home with venomous precision. Visit “Azamo Pillar of Honor #2” at Sakimori Overlook, Azamo Prefecture.
Warrior’s Brush Like a master calligrapher’s brush stroke written in blood. Visit “Ariake Pillar of Honor #1” at the tip of the peninsula overlooking the Sibling Rocks, Ariake Prefecture.
Spring Bamboo Even the oldest samurai fights with the vigor of youth. Visit “Komatsu Pillar of Honor #1” west of Shigenori’s Peak, Komatsu Prefecture.
Genbu’s Darkness For warriors who celebrate the shadows. Visit “Komoda Pillar of Honor #1” in the scorched field north of First General’s Field, east from Kiyomori’s Landing, Komoda Prefecture.
Yasha’s Embers Beware the warrior’s fiery vengeance. Visit “Hoyishi Pillar of Honor #1” on the cliffs southeast of Hiyoshi Village, Hiyoshi Prefecture.
Fuujin’s Secret The terrible force of unseen tempest. Visit “Hoyishi Pillar of Honor #2” at Kaneda Inlet, Hiyoshi Prefecture.

Dueling Festival Your foes will drink and feast on chaos and blood. Visit “Akashima Pillar of Honor #1” south of Akashima, on the coast east of the Old Togo Rice Field, Akashima Prefecture.
Moon Bear’s Paw For the samurai who is both playful and deadly. Visit “Akashima Pillar of Honor #2” on the tip of the tiny peninsula in the east, Akashima Prefecture.
Breath of Hachiman Let the kami of the samurai guide your blades. Visit “Akashima Pillar of Honor #3” between the rivers, south of Old Kanazawa Marsh, Akashima Prefecture.
Warrior’s Faith Trust your weapons. Believe in yourself. Visit “Umugi Pillar of Honor #1” south Umagi, on the tip of the narrow peninsula southeast from the village, Umugi Prefecture.
Hijiki in Sunlight What hidden threats lies beneath the calm, golden surface? Visit “Umugi Pillar of Honor #2” west of Kazumasa’s Isle, south from Old Clan’s Hill, Umugi Prefecture.
Hunting Bear Become a force of nature. Visit “Otsuna Pillar of Honor #1” north of Yoshinaka Bay, Otsuna Prefecture.
Gold Koi River For blades quick as the streak of Koi in a sunlit stream. Visit “Kushi Pillar of Honor #1” south of Old Toyotama Hills and west of the lake in Kushi, Kushi Prefecture.
Bishamon’s Fortune Destiny favors the noble-hearted warrior. Visit “Kushi Pillar of Honor #2” north of Little Monk’s Pond, Kushi Prefecture.
Yuzu Peel Only for the most resilent and robust blades. Visit “Kubara Pillar of Honor #1” in Sibling Bay west of Kubara Castle, Kubara Prefecture.

Azure Dragon Signature of the wise warrior who fights for peace and plenty. Visit “Kin Pillar of Honor #1” northeast of Kin Village, Kin Prefecture.
Sly Tanuki For the samurai who knows neither friend nor foe…only destruction. Visit “Kin Pillar of Honor #2” north of the lighthouse and at the end of the Iwai Village’s peninsula, Kin Prefecture.
Midnight Hanabi Pierce the darkness with your glinting blades. Visit “Kin Pillar of Honor #3” on the shoal northeast of Shinboku Inn, Kin Prefecture.
Shogun’s Storm Sweep your enemies aside with righteous fury. Visit “Sago Pillar of Honor #1” west of the Bitter Hills and southeast of Fort Kikuchi, Sago Prefecture.
Island’s Keeper For warriors who will sacrifice everything for their homes. Visit “Jogaku Pillar of Honor #1” by the lake east of Jogaku Temple, Jogaku Prefecture.
Tanuki’s Brush The choice for wild and unpredictable bladers. Visit “Jogaku Pillar of Honor #2” north of the temple on the northern slope of Mount Jogaku, Jogaku Prefecture.
Hidden Forest The bamboo stirs at the passage of a true warrior. Visit “Jogaku Pillar of Honor #3” on the cliffs in the northeastern side, Jogaku Prefecture.
