Reach Koshimizu Farm with Norio – Search the house for signs of the abbot

1 After talking to Norio, ride with him to Koshimizu Farm.
2 When you arrive at the farm, investigate the fire by going to the house at the north end of the area.
3 Examine the burned corpses on the floor, the nearby barrels, the bedding, and the windowsill.

Follow the tracks – Investigate the monk’s body

1 Follow the tracks away from the window and up some stone steps. Defeat the Mongols there, including a Mongol leader, and follow the trail of blood down the road ahead.
2 Defeat the Mongols near the waterfall. Afterwards, examine the the bloodstained rocks on the edge of the waterfall.
3 Continue following the bloody trail and jump down to the pool below. Afterwards, turn around and go through the gap to reach a cave. Examine the corpse there.

Take out the Mongols at the stone steps by initiating a Standoff.

You can kill the two Mongols at the stone steps in a Standoff to avoid a lengthy battle. Doing this is recommended as the second Mongol, an archer, will likely take cheap shots at you if you engage the first in regular combat.
