How to Get the Kensei Armor Set
The Kensei Armor Set is the best armor in the game, boasting the unsurpassed offensive and defensive passive armor effects for combat. It is recommended to acquire it as you progress towards Act 3 (Kill the Khan) of Jin’s Journey.

The Kensei Armor Set is obtained as a reward for clearing The Six Blades of Kojiro Mythic Tale unlocked after completing A New Horizon during Jin’s Journey (main story). Speak to a musician named Yamato at Umugi Cove to begin the Tale.
The Six Blades of Kojiro Walkthrough
The Six Blades of Kojiro requires you to defeat five powerful Straw Hat assassins and Kojiro himself in a series of duels across the island. Below is a summary of each of the Straw Hat assassin’s locations. Note that you cannot use tools during each duel. Parrying and dodging will be your key to defeating Kojiro and his assassins from here on.

After defeating all five of the Straw Hat assassins, talk to the musician again for Kojiro’s location. Afterwards, head to Omi Monastery. It is near Mt. Omi in the northwest of Toyotama region.
Take the path on the right side of the Buddha statue in Omi Monastery. Follow the waypoint to Kojiro’s hideout and speak to him to begin the duel. You will receive the Kensei Armor and Kensei Headband after defeating him.

The Kensei Armor gives you massive increase in Resolve gained and damage dealt using Ghost Weapons, making it the most versatile armor for dealing with any situation. You will be accumulating Resolve very quickly to continuously throw out powerful techniques such as Heavenly Strike or Dance of Wrath on foes.
The armor set’s best feature, however, is allowing you to significantly reduce the attack and defense of enemies hit with Ghost Weapons. When fully-upgraded, any foe will lose half of their combat potential when struck by a kunai or any other throwable Ghost Weapon in the game.
