The Ghost stance is a unique stance that allows you to instantly kill multiple enemies when activated. Unlike regular stances, Ghost stance is becomes usable after meeting certain conditions.

The ability to activate Ghost stance is unlocked during The Ghost of Yarikawa (main quest) in Act 2 of Jin’s Journey. Ghost stance becomes automatically usable after defeating General Temuge in combat.

How to Activate Ghost Stance

To activate Ghost stance during combat, you must kill 7 regular enemies in a row without taking damage or perform “slaughter” on a Mongol leader. Doing so will fully-charge the Ghost stance meter on the lower right corner of the screen. The kill counter will reset of you are hit so be mindful of incoming attacks as much as possible.

Press L3 + R3 to go into Ghost Stance and kill any non-boss enemies in one strike. Note that you are only likely to kill up to 3 enemies before the stance meter is depleted.

Effects

Nearby enemies may enter a terrified state when you slay their allies in Ghost stance. Use the opportunity to quickly recharge the stance again by killing them when they are defenseless.

Use the Ghost Armor to Reduce Kill Count Requirement

Ghost of Tsushima - Ghost Armor

Equipping the Ghost Armor reduces the number of enemies you must kill to activate Ghost stance by up to 2 when upgraded. This means that you only need to take out 4 enemies without receiving damage yourself to fully charge the Ghost Stance meter.

Wearing the Ghost Armor also increases your terrifying nearby enemies after using Ghost stance by 15% to 30%.
