Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon - Ultra Beasts Necrozma, Burst, and Assembly are Relatives: News

Ultra Beasts Necrozma, Burst, and Assembly look like their relatives. But how!? And when did that happen in Pokemon Ultra Sun Ultra Moon!?

Ultra Beasts Necrozma, Burst, and Assembly are Relatives!

With all the hype regarding Necrozma, people seem to forget that there are two other Ultra Beasts that come into play. Ultra Beast Burst and Ultra Assembly appear depending on which Ultra version of Pokemon Sun Moon the player plays. To unlock Ultra Beast Burst, the player must play Pokemon Ultra Sun. As for Ultra Beast Assembly, the player must be playing Pokemon Ultra Moon. But apparently there’s a rumour floating around. Ultra Beasts Necrozma, Burst, and Assembly are probably related to one another! But how is that possible?

How does this relationship work?

Apparently, this rumour stems out from the Japanese translation from their names. While Ultra Beasts Necrozma and Burst retained their names, Ultra Beast Assembly’s true Japanese name is actually Ultra Beast: Lay. From here, fans then began speculating if Ultra Beasts Necrozma, Burst, and Assembly are actually related to one another especially when Necrozma’s card came out.

Ultra Beast: Burst

The first attack reading “プリズムバースト” if translated into English means “Prism Burst”. The fact that it has Ultra Beast Burst’s name made fans believe that they have some relation. One other thing the fans added is the method of attacking Note, Ultra Beast Burst’s method of attack appears to take the form of light. Necrozma does the same thing. While there’s something in the lore that Necrozma is capable of absorbing light, Ultra Beast Burst may add to Necrozma’s abilities the duality of the nature of light.

Ultra Beast: Assembly

Now, this one’s a little tricky. However, players need to go back to the roots of the translation. Ultra Beast Assembly’s real name (or his Japanese name for that matter) is Ultra Beast: Lay. From there, players have to look at the second attack reading “ブラックレイ” on the card. If one roughly translates that into English then, players will find the word “Black Lay”. However, there’s no need to refine the translation. With that, players can already spot Ultra Beast Assembly’s Japanese name in Necrozma’s attacks.

Merging Theory

Because of the two attacks shared between Ultra Beasts Assembly and Burst, Ultra Beasts Necrozma, Burst, and Assembly may originally not be three entities. Instead, Ultra Beasts Burst and Assembly may be the components needed to create Ultra Beast Necrozma. One is that Necrozma appears to have hardened armor that’s almost impossible to chip off. Two, he has Ultra Beast Burst’s ability to manipulate light. Hence, it would probably explain why Necrozma is able to overwhelm Solgaleo and Lunala. However, nobody truly knows if Ultra Beasts Necrozma, Burst, and Assembly are truly relatives. All we know as of now is that they do come from the Ultra Dimension.

But it wouldn’t hurt to speculate now will it?
