Walkthrough
Travel to Lord Shimura’s camp – Speak with Lord Oga
1 | Head to Lord Shimura’s camp. When you arrive, talk to the samurai at the gate. |
---|---|
2 | Go to the training area and talk to Kenji and sensei Ishikawa. Head to the main gate and talk to Lady Masako. Approach the large open building and talk to Norio. Just across the makeshift temple is a building near a well where Yuna is. Talk to her as well. |
3 | Proceed to the main gate and talk to Lord Oga when you are ready to begin the mission. |
Travel with Lord Oga to meet your uncle – Push forward and defeat the Mongol forces
1 | Ride with Lord Oga to the watchtower and talk to Lord Shimura. Afterwards, get ready to meet the Mongol forces at the main gate. As with most group batles, take out the archers first before focusing on the swordsmen. The mace-wielding brutes should be saved for last. |
---|---|
2 | After the cutscene, continue taking out the enemies. Shoot the braziers above the archers up ahead to take them out quickly. Afterwards, lead some enemies near the explosive barrels by the tent and shoot them to take out as many enemies as you can. |
3 | Clear out enemies along the way as you press further with Lord Shimura. Another wave of Mongols will appear when you come to the next gate. |
Scout ahead of your army – Defeat the Hwacha operators
1 | Go up the ladder on your left and onto the bridge. Go inside the building and approach the broken window. |
---|---|
2 | Head for the hwacha tower and take out the Mongols along the way. Use the explosive barrels positioned near the walls to quickly thin out their numbers. |
3 | Climb up the hwacha tower and take out the two Mongols operating it. You can now use the hwacha to attack the surviving Mongol forces to assist your allies. Aim for the explosive barrels by the courtyard when the Mongols clump together and fire to kill a good number of them. |
Rejoin your allies
1 | Regroup with your allies to help them finish off the remaining enemies while moving toward the gate. |
---|---|
2 | Get ready for another wave of enemies after opening the gate. Afterwards, head for the gatehouse by climbing the ladder. |
3 | Shoot at the horses carrying the wagon of explosives before they cross the bridge. |
Strategy
Talk to your allies.
Speaking with your allies at Lord Shimura’s camp is entirely optional, though may miss out on some good backstory and conversations if you skip them.
Ready your equipment before heading out
Before talking to Lord Oga, make sure to be well-stocked on arrows and other items as you must fight your way through waves of Mongol enemies. Do not forget to visit vendors to have your weapons and armor upgraded as well.
