Walkthrough
Meet Ryuzo in Takuzudama Cemetery – Disable the lighthouse alarm
1 | Head to Takuzudama Cemetery and talk to Ryuzo. Afterwards, go with Ryuzo to Fort Ohira. |

2 | Enter the fort by using the fallen tree as a bridge. Once inside, approach the lighthouse and take out the two Mongol guards on your way. |
3 | Go past two more Mongol guards and go up the lighthouse. |
4 | Disable the fireworks alarm installed there. |
Regroup with Ryuzo – Lead Ryuzo to the Mongol rowboat
1 | Head to the fort and catch up with Ryuzo. Be sure to take out any Mongols on the way there. |

2 | Talk to Ryuzo and decide how to reclaim the fort. Afterwards, go with Ryuzo to the Mongol landing site and survey the area. |
3 | Proceed along quietly toward the waypoint near the camp. When Ryuzo begins distraction, move along the rocks and cargo to stay out view to reach the boats. Take out the Mongol patrolling the them as you come near them. |
4 | Follow the path to the docks and to the boat. This will allow you to reach the Mongol cargo ship. |
Search the ship for food – Defeat the Mongols on the ships
1 | When you climb up on the cargo ship, use the R2 button to search the crates and barrels for food. Afterwards, prepare to fight some Mongol soldiers. Take out the archers first before focusing on the melee enemies. The ship’s gunrest gives you some good cover to take them out one by one with the longbow. You can also shoot the lanterns above the enemies to quickly take them out. |

2 | Enemy reinforcements will arrive when Ryuzo crosses to the next ship. Continue peppering the enemies that appear with arrows using the longbow. If you run out of arrows, just resort to melee. |
3 | The Mongol leader will also appear. Bait out his attacks while staying out of his polearm’s range and attack in Wind stance to take him out. Talk to Ryuzo afterwards. |
Reach the next ship – Defeat the Mongol leader
1 | Cross to the next ship by walking on the gangplank. Head to the middle of the cargo hold while staying undetected. Pick up the Mongol war plans on the table. |

2 | Backtrack to Ryuzo’s location and follow the path leading to the aft deck. Get ready to battle another Mongol leader with a polearm. First, throw a kunai at him to give you a brief period to revive Ryuzo. With your companion up again, take on the Mongol leader by using Ryuzo as a distraction. He should not be a problem with the two of you attacking him. |
3 | After the cutscene, jump off to the water. |
Strategy
Defeating the Mongol Leader in the last ship
The Mongol leader at the last ship hits very hard and is fairly tough to take down on your own. Before engaging him, throw a kunai to stun him and revive Ryuzo. You can also use smoke bombs found in the cargo hold where you obtained the Mongol war plans just before you find Ryuzo in trouble. Use it to disorient the Mongol leader and follow up with a Critical Strike.
