Tips and Tricks: Hunt the Beast Mode
Hunt the Beast Mode is a game mode in Grand Theft Auto V [GTA 5] that randomly selects a player to play as the “Beast”. As the “Beast”, the player must hit several checkpoints in order to win. While that one person runs around as the “Beast”, the other players must play as the hunter. The Beast cannot attack but it does have increased speed and stealth as long as it keeps moving. However, he can also call something known as the “Insurgent” to prevent itself from being blown up. The “Beast” must activate all 10 check points within 30 minutes.
To win Hunt the Beast, here are some tips and tricks:
Beast and Hunters: Keep moving
Staying still will only get the player killed as there are more players out to hunt the beast down. If the player stands still then, the system will soon ring off and reveal where the beast is hiding. When hitting a landmark, the radar will also reveal one’s location thus it’s best to move around.
Also, moving around in crowded places will give out your location. But it may also work to one’s advantage if one can hide oneself among the crowd.
For Hunters, staying put will lose the team’s sight on the target. At the same time, the beast may not return back to the landmark. Because of this, it’s best to keep moving to cover all landmarks.
Hunters: Spread Out Tactic
Spreading out helps the hunters cover more distance. As the players cover more distance, they can easily position themselves nearby the landmarks to kill the Beast the moment it reaches the landmark.
Beast: Don’t get into a car
Getting into a car makes the Beast vulnerable to grenades and any form of explosives. It’s also quite useless since the Beast has stealth and also increased movement.
Hunters: Pair Up
Pairing up will allow players to deal more damage to the Beast. Because the Beast has an increased health pool, pairing up with another player can deal additional damage to the Beast. This also softens up the Beast for a Sniper to take out.
